                                                                  Candle Care Guide

To ensure that your candle provides you with many hours of wonderful fragrance, please follow our candle care tips below.

  • Always light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts or fans.  Any draft can cause sooting (black marks on the vessel) or rapid, uneven burning.
  • When lighting your candle, allow it to burn long enough for the entire surface to melt to the edges, especially on the first few burns, to prevent 'tunnelling'.  This will ensure your candle has a clean and maximum burn time.
  • Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings and matches, as debris in the wax can act as a secondary wick, encouraging your candle to burn faster.
  • Trim the wick after every burn to 5mm to ensure a safe and steady flame
  • Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time, as this may cause the wick to move and slant.  The vessel can also get very hot if left to burn for longer than stated.  Never leave a lit candle unattended.
  • Stop burning your candle when 5mm of wax remains at the bottom.
  • Keep your candle away from children and pets.

PLEASE NOTE: wax pulling away from the vessel as the wax cools is a normal occurrence in natural wax.  As are very fine surface cracks on the wax.  This tends to happen in varied temperatures as the wax cools.  This in no way effects the performance of the candle.
